I’m Helen Greenwood and the owner of The Sound of Upholstery!

After spending years working in the world of advertising I decided to completely change career and retrain as an upholsterer.

I’ve always enjoyed crafting, knitting and sewing, having been taught from an early age by my Mum and Grandma, so having the opportunity to learn upholstery was the icing on the cake for me. I now enjoy spending my working day updating chairs, designing new footstools and stapling away to Radio 2 or my tunes of the day, which I can only describe as eclectic.

And the business name… yes, it’s influenced by one of my favourite things!
